Woke up at 6 am. It’s the first day of the girls’ Christmas vacation so I didn’t have to help them get ready for school. We did have to leave somewhat early to make a orthodontist appointment about 1 1/2 hours away.
I debated bringing my laptop and working on the 1 hour and 30 minute drive up there as Sexy Hubby was driving but decided not to. When I bought it I was looking for something big and easy to move. It’s too big to fit in most of my purses and is hardly comfortable lug around in the one purse it does fit in. I really need a smaller laptop for me to carry when I’m writing away from home, but since I rarely leave home it seems like a waste of money. Maybe I’ll look into one of those tablets with the keyboards since my tablet finally died this month.
Instead of spending the drive writing, I spent the drive writing notes about the next sequence of events in The Warlord’s Daughter and planning out
We ended up being early to the appointment and getting both girls teeth worked on, and then it was homeward bound. We stopped in town at a restaurant for a quick bite to eat and Little K’s bracket popped off during lunch. After a quick talk with the orthodontist who wanted us to come back so they could fix it, we ended up heading home to feed the cows before returning to the orthodontist.
By the time we got home for good today it was dinner time and I was far too tired to do more than watch “What on Earth?” with my family. About the time I sent everyone to bed I had my second wind and jumped on my laptop to type out my few notes and write this post.
